What is the worst name in Tolkien’s legendarium (meaning and look)?

Túna for the name of hill is perfectly good. In Swedish, it means “fenced homestead”, such as Eskilstuna, Sollentuna, Vallentuna etc.

On defence of poor Celeborn, his Sindarin name is Celeb-Orn (“silvery tall-one”), which becomes Telep-Orno in Quenya, not Tele-Porno. Compare Celebrimbor > Tyelperinquar.

Mount Doom. He really should have used more imagination with that.

Do you think it is likely that Maegor was presented a young dragon at some point, almost to the point of full-bonding, only to scorn it for Balerion in the end? If so, which one could it have been?
